General information for exhibitors

The regional conference on “Prevention of Violence against Women and Girls in Southern Africa -from evidence to action” is the ideal platform at which to present your organization and the work that you are doing to prevent GBV. This is the place to meet decision-makers and network and showcase your innovations in the field of violence prevention.

You can request an exhibitor’s table until December 1, 2019. All requests will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis.

No exhibition fee will be charged to any organization that wishes to make its work known to the audience of the regional conference.

Exhibition location and opening hours

Exhibitors tables will be located at the hall of the main plenary room at the Indaba Conference Centre facilities located at the corner of William Nicol Drive & Pieter Wenning Road in Fourways, Johannesburg.

The exhibition will be open on December 4 and 5 from 8.30 to 17.00.

Organizations that want to set up an exhibition stand are invited to bring all materials and prepare their respective tables on December 3, before the official opening of the event.
Parking space is available at the venue.

General conditions

  • Each exhibitor is obliged to keep their table top and exhibition space clean. Once the event has ended, all unusable materials are to be removed by the exhibitor and deposited in the rubbish containers placed there for that purpose.
  • Smoking is not permitted inside the building.
  • Sales are not permitted. This space is reserved for exhibition and information sharing only.

Accessibility

Please ensure that exhibits are easily accessible to wheelchair users and signage is positioned where it is visible to all visitors.

Music and noise

Should you wish to play music from your stand, you must contact the event management before the event. Any exhibitor playing music or videos on their stand must keep the sound at a level that is not intrusive to other exhibitors.

Photography and video

Professional photography may be taken at this event and images used and reused for publications and disseminating information about the event on online platforms and in printed media. If you do not wish to be included, please email partnershipsforprevention@giz.de

Security

While every reasonable precaution is taken during the event to ensure the premises are adequately secured, the organizers expressly disclaim the responsibility for any loss or damage to property of the exhibitor from any cause.

Lost property

Lost property will be handed to the reception/registration front desk, located on the ground floor, at the front of the building. It is essential you report any loss sustained from your stand to the reception/registration front desk.
